It takes a lot of time, the manual and intellectual labor of many people, equipment, and money, to preserve and restore Texan carnivorous plants and the habitats in which they live, and to provide this site with the information it needs to serve as a hub for Texas CP-related activities.

If you think that this work is worthwhile and valuable, consider pitching in. I will be grateful for your lending a hand in any of many ways:

Tell people about this website. Tell your Science teacher. Tell your child's Science teacher.
Do you know of a natural bog? Let CPT know! I will arrange with the owner of the land to visit and document the bog. I will bring the visit to you in the Bogs and News & Goings On pages.
Ask your employer about corporate programs which donate funds and/or equipment to causes they consider worthwhile. Then let CPT know the contact information, and I will arrange to meet with your employer.
Grow pitcher plants! For a small donation, take home any of the beautiful, unusual, exotic-looking forms of native, cultivated carnivorous Pitcher plants, pink sundews, and butterworts (nature's 'sticky paper'). Watch them trap and gobble-up hundreds of annoying insects all summer long!
Volunteer your time to help plant locally native plants in damaged Texas bogs (keep checking the News & Goings On page of this site).
Are you an experienced carnivorous plant grower? Or a not-so-experienced one? Ok, a newbie? Pitch-in by volunteering your knowledge and time to speak about CP at schools, help propagate native strains of carnivorous plants, help organize, direct, and take part in reintroductions to the wild, or help restore a preserve.
Are you a Science teacher at a Texas School? Consider inviting CPT in your classroom for a fun-filled presentation on Texas carnivorous plants, one of the natural wonders. What kid can resist alien-looking plants which attract, trap, and gobble-up bugs!
How about building a bog with native carnivorous plants at your school?! We'll help your students do just that!
Are you a public or private Botanical Garden? Consider hosting bog-gardens showcasing native Texas carnivorous plants, a spectacular, unusual attraction. CPT will tell you everything you need to know to build them or we'll build them for you. We have experience.
Do you have Texas CP-related news, photos, articles, you would like to contribute? I will gladly accept them.
Are you a professional? Or simply talented? CPT can use your skills and talents. Lawyer, BBQ brisket-Meister, accountant, printer, landscaper, film maker, salesman, all welcome!
Can you donate indoor or outdoor space for meetings and carnivorous plant shows? Are you a church, a public or private hall, a city or State park? We'll be good guests on your property and leave it as we found it. Promise.
Consider making a cash donation! Any amount will help to:
- Pay for gas to drive around our State discovering and documenting new sites, visiting and checking up on known sites, and bringing it all to you through virtual tours right here at the CPT site!
- Propagate/ purchase native Texas strains of carnivorous plants for reintroduction to the wild.
- Pay for expenses to travel to sites where pitcher plants have been destroyed and plant cultivated, locally native plants.
- Establish a fund to purchase, preserve, and manage bog wetlands with native carnivorous plants. It could become possible to organize some sites for outtings to see pitcher plants, sundews, butterworts, and bladderworts in protected, natural Texas bogs.
- Pay for website-related expenses, such as ISP.
- Pay for fund-raising activities, helping private business get involved, and carnivorous plant cook-outs where CPs can be admired, exchanged, and adopted!
- Advertising of the CPT site.

All donations of money, equipment, time, and services are used exclusively to preserve our Texas wetland heritage as stated in About CPT.
